Personal Protection Equipment

Legend / Description

FOR PAINTINGS JOBS

These gloves are especially suitable for painters

FOR FINE MECHANIC JOBS

These gloves are mainly used by mechanics and installers. The grip safety, a high sense of touch and the protection are
the main characteristics

FOR ROUGH CONSTRUCTION WORKS

These gloves are suitable for building-, road- and construction works

FOR GARDENING JOBS

This group unites all gloves, which are mainly used for gardening jobs

FOR SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The test tube symbol denotes gloves that meet specific r equirements (e.g., solvent resistant, fully dipped, etc.)

FOR LOW TEMPERATURES

Gloves with this pictogram keep hands, fingers and even the wris t warm at low temperatures

GLOVES FOR NO SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Category I includes exclusively the following minimal risks:

Superficial mechanical injury

Contact with aggresive detergents or prolonged contact with water

Contact with hot surfaces not exceeding 50°C

Damage to the eyes due to exposure to sunlight

Atmospheric conditions that are not of an extreme nature

GLOVES FOR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Includes risks other than those listed in categories I and III.

PROTECTION GLOVES FOR MECHANICAL RISKS

The following parameters are tested:
Abrasion resistance (Level 0-4), Blade cut resistance (Level 0-5), Tear resistance (Level 0-4), Puncture resistance (Level 0-4) The achieved levels are indicated in this order under the pictogram.
Level „0“ means that the glove has not reached level 1. The letter „X“ instead of a number indicates that the glove has not been tested for the appropriate risk. The higher the value, the better the test result. For Example EN388 - 4121: abrasion resistance 4, blade cut resistance(Coupe) 1, tear resistance 2, puncture resistance 1, blade cut resistance[TDM] 1

PROCTECTION GLOVES AGAINST LOW TEMPERATURES

The following parameters are tested:
Convective cold (class 0-4), Contact cold (class 0-4), Water penetration (class 0/1) The achieved levels are indicated in this order under the pictogram. Step „0“ means that the glove has not reached level 1. The label „X“ instead of a number indicates that the glove has not been tested for the appropriate risk. The higher the value, the better the test result. For example EN511 – X21: Convective cold X, Contact cold 2, Water penetration 1

GLOVES FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHEMICALS AND MICROORGANISMS

This standard specific indicates the characteristics of gloves to pr otect the user from chemicals or microorganisms

MEDICAL GLOVES FOR DISPOSABLE USE

This standard specific indicates the requirments and the test methods for the physical characteristic s of medical gloves for single use. This ensures the adequate protection against contamination during the usage

EYE PROTECTION

The whole personal eye protection equipment is standardized in the EN166. According to this standard, numbers and letters on the viewing glasses and the carrying frame provides information about the protection level, mechanical strength, resistance to light arcs and the fogging of the eye protection

RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE DEVICES

FFP1: protects against dusts in concentrations up to 4x MAC, no pr otection against carcinogenic and radioactive substances as well as airborne biological substances of risk groups 2 and 3 as well as enzymes. Protection against non toxic dusts from gypsum, graphite, cement, plaste, pollen, metallic file dust
FFP2: protects against dusts in concentrations up to 10x MAC, no pr otection against radioactive substances and airborne biological substances of risk group 3 as well as enzymes. Protection against middle toxic dusts from abestos, chromium, copper, titanium, hardwood, welding and soldering
FFP3: protects against dusts in concentrations up to 30x MAC.
The maximum allowable concentration indicates the concentration from a substance that is acute or chronic harmful for the health in general are not expected. The limits are based on existing occupational health and toxicological findings. Protection agaist toxic dusts from beryllium, cadmium, cobalt, nickel, radium, radioactive particles

CAPSULE HEARING PROTECTION

The whole hearing protection equipment is standardized in the EN352. This standard specificies indicates the insulating values, which get deducted from the noise level to don‘t exceed the maxium permited sound level

GLOVES FOR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Includes exclusively the risks that may cause very serios consequences such as death or irreversible damage to health relating to the following:

Substances and mixtures which are hazardous to health,

Harmful biological agents,

Ionising radiation,

Cuts by hand held chainsaws,

Harmful noise.
